Here at Headway Salford, Trafford and North Manchester we are part of a network of over 120 local Groups and Branches of Headway – The Brain Injury Association. Headway supports people living with brain injuries throughout the UK and offers a wide range of services, including rehabilitation programmes, carer support, social re-integration, community outreach and respite care. The services available will vary, depending on local needs and resources.
Greater Manchester offers a range of different Headway groups across all the regions that make up the area. If you live outside Salford, Trafford and North Manchester and would like to find a group closer where you live.
Headway aims to promote an understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury.
We are a local charity group, affiliated with Headway UK, supporting people in the Salford, Trafford and North Manchester area.
We provide a fun and welcoming day-centre service, at which members can meet with others who are also living with brain injuries.
At the day-centre we offer a range of fun interactive sessions both indoor (crafts, cooking, table tennis and pool) and outdoor (accessible cycling sessions, bowling and day trips out).
